- Open Call- Beca Colombia 2026-2 Scholarship Program for International Students / Convocatoria Abierta: Programa de Becas Colombia 2026-2 para Estudiantes Intern The Embassy of Colombia in the Republic of Korea presents its compliments to your esteemed University and is pleased to share information regarding the "Beca Colombia" 2026-2 Scholarship Program. This program, managed by ICETEX, offers reciprocity scholarships for foreign citizens who wish to pursue Spanish language courses, specialization programs, or master's degrees in Colombia. Key Benefits of the Scholarship Tuition: the Higher Education Institutions will offer 100% of the tuition fee for the duration of the academic program. Note: the program included in this call are primarily offered in Spanish; applicants must verify the language requirements established by the higher Education Institution. Health Insurance Allowance: Financial support to cover the scholarship holder’s medical and hospital assistance during the study period in Colombia. This benefit applies exclusively to the scholarship holder and does not extend to family members. Note: If ICETEX does not have the available budget to provide the health insurance/medical insurance allowance, the scholarship holder must purchase, at their own expense, valid medical insurance in Colombia for the entire duration of their stay. Monthly Stipend: ICTEX will support each foreign scholarship recipient with a monthly stipend of two minimum wages. Courtesy Visa: ICETEX will send letters to Colombian consulates abroad for the issuance of the courtesy Visa type “V” (visitor). Foreigner Identification: This is a financial support equivalent to 250,000 COP, which will be paid only once during the entire study program to cover costs related to the issuance of the immigration card. It will be granted during the first disbursement. Eligibility Requirements: Be a foreign citizen. Not have Colombian nationality. Not be residing, not have resided the last 6 months prior to applying for the scholarship in Colombia territory, or have started studies in Colombia at the time of application to the corresponding call. Must not have any marital or the facto relationship in Colombia. Not having been a beneficiary of ICETEX through Beca Colombia program. Not be older than 50 years. Have a cumulative general average of 4.0 out of 5.0 in undergraduate studies to apply for the call. According to the grading scale of each country, the grade must be equivalent to a minimum of 4.0 for the Colombian scale. Have a professional, undergraduate, or graduate degree in any area of knowledge. Have admission to at least one (up to three) postgraduate programs found in the Academic Offer Catalog 2026-2 attached to this announcement. Have a good physical and mental health, certified by a doctor. Application Deadline: The call is currently open and will close on June 5th, 2026.
